The Complete Mattress Set includes the 9" prone-position mattress with the face cavity cut in, the adjustable face rest assembly (gel-infused memory foam, adjustable height range), and your choice of mattress cover — DWR fabric or bamboo batting. Pocket sheets and mattress pad are sold with the mattress.
The face rest assembly is designed to sit inside the cavity cut into the Pure Prone Sleep mattress. It won't work correctly on a standard mattress because there's no cavity to seat it in — the geometry of the height adjustment depends on the cavity depth. If you want to try prone sleeping before committing to the full system, the Pocket Sheets work on any mattress.
Currently the mattress is available in Twin size only. The face rest assembly is one size. A height adjustment handles the fit. Pocket sheets and mattress pad are sized to match the mattress.
The DWR (durable water-resistant) cover is tightly woven and more durable — it's the right choice if you run warm or want easy cleaning. The bamboo batting cover has a softer, more textured feel and is slightly more breathable. If you're unsure, most people prefer the bamboo.
For many people, yes. The prone position naturally opens the posterior airway — the part of the airway that tends to collapse in back-sleepers. Research on positional breathing is well-established, and prone positioning has been used clinically for decades. We're not making medical claims, but the mechanics are real and the experience of waking up more rested in the prone position is something a lot of our customers describe.
Standard prone sleeping — face pressed into a flat pillow, neck cranked to one side — is genuinely hard on the neck. That's the problem the face rest assembly solves. When your face is supported in the cavity and your airway is open, your neck stays in a neutral position. The system is designed specifically to make prone sleeping comfortable and sustainable.
Most prone sleepers find they stay in position more than they expect once they're comfortable. The face rest assembly doesn't constrain you — you can roll off it if you shift. The Pocket Sheets are designed to stay put around the cavity opening even with movement. If you're a very active sleeper, the system still works; you just might not use the face rest every hour of the night. Moving from prone to any other position is a simple pull of the pillow to cover the cavity and the face rest.
The mattress ships compressed in a box via freight carrier, typically 7–14 business days depending on your location. The face rest assembly and Pocket Sheets ship separately via standard carrier, usually 3–5 business days. You'll get tracking for both shipments.
The Pure Prone Sleep mattress is currently a made-to-order mattress and is not returnable. Please be sure you can sleep on your stomach with no problems or consult your physician.
Currently we ship within the contiguous United States only. We're working on expanding — if you're outside the US and interested, send us a message and we'll let you know when your region is available.
