A mattress built
for the way you
already sleep
Most people who sleep on their stomach wake up with a stiff neck, a sore back, or both. Not because prone sleeping is wrong — but because every mattress on the market is designed for back and side sleepers.
Pure Prone Sleep is the first complete system engineered specifically for stomach sleepers. A prone-position mattress with a face cavity, an adjustable face rest assembly, and pocket sheets that work together — so your airway stays open, your spine stays neutral, and you wake up rested.
Breathe freely all night
The face cavity and adjustable face rest hold your airway in a neutral, open position — no more turning your head to the side, no more waking up gasping.
Wake up without the ache
The mattress geometry keeps your lumbar in a supported, neutral position — the same alignment a physical therapist would prescribe, built into the surface you sleep on.
Everything works together
The mattress, face rest assembly, and pocket sheets are designed as a single system — each component engineered to work with the others, not bolted on as an afterthought.
Standard mattresses were never designed for you
The entire mattress industry is built around back and side sleepers. Every layer of foam, every coil configuration, every "pressure relief" feature — designed for people lying on their back or side.
When you sleep prone on a standard mattress, your face is pressed into a flat surface. You turn your head to breathe, cranking your neck to one side for hours. Your lower back arches upward because there's nothing supporting the natural curve of your lumbar. You wake up stiff, sore, and tired.
This isn't a you problem. It's an engineering problem. And it has a solution.
Prone sleeping works.
The mattress just has
to work with it.
The prone position naturally opens the posterior airway — the part of the airway that tends to collapse in back-sleepers. Research on positional breathing is well-established. Prone positioning has been used clinically for decades.
The problem was never the position. The problem was that no one had built a mattress that made the position sustainable. A face cavity that holds your airway open. A face rest assembly that keeps your neck neutral. Pocket sheets that stay put around the opening. That's the system.
Three parts. One system.
The Prone-Position Mattress
A 10" mattress with a precision-cut face cavity — the opening that makes everything else possible. The cavity is sized and positioned so your face rests in it naturally, your airway stays open, and your neck stays neutral. Available in all standard sizes.
The mattress itself is a high-density foam construction with a comfort layer tuned for prone sleeping — firmer than a typical mattress to support the lumbar, softer at the shoulders to prevent pressure points.
The Face Rest Assembly
A gel-infused memory foam face rest that sits inside the cavity. Height-adjustable to fit your face geometry — the adjustment range covers the full spectrum of face shapes and sizes. The assembly is removable for cleaning.
The face rest is the component that makes prone sleeping sustainable long-term. Without it, the cavity is just a hole. With it, your face is cradled, your airway is open, and your neck is in the same neutral position it would be in if you were standing.
Pocket Sheets
Standard fitted sheets don't work on a mattress with a face cavity — the opening pulls the sheet out of position. Pocket Sheets are engineered with a reinforced opening that stays put around the cavity, so the sheet doesn't bunch or shift during the night.
Available in DWR fabric and bamboo batting. Sized to match the mattress. Pocket Sheets also work on standard mattresses — if you want to try prone sleeping before committing to the full system, start here.
Built for stomach sleepers who've run out of options
If you've been told to stop sleeping on your stomach — by a doctor, a physical therapist, a partner — but you keep ending up face-down anyway, this system is for you.
Prone sleeping is how your body wants to rest. The system doesn't fight that. It works with it — giving you the airway clearance and spinal support that standard mattresses can't provide in the prone position.
It's also for people who've noticed they breathe better on their stomach. The posterior airway mechanics are real. The system is designed to let you use that position consistently, comfortably, and sustainably.
Stomach sleepers who wake up with neck or back pain
People who breathe better face-down but can't sustain the position
Anyone who's been told to change their sleep position but can't
People looking for a non-device approach to positional breathing
